ABOUT US

About the Dover Eagle Foundation

The Dover Eagle Foundation was founded in 2009 as a non-profit 501©(3) organization to make grants to the Dover Area School District, its teachers or administrators for projects for the classroom, instructional or other educational needs of the Dover Area School District or to supplement or enhance the educational programs and activities of the Dover Area School District for the benefit of its qualified students.

Student Scholarships

Every single school year we allocate 10% of our current working balance to provide $500 scholarships to our high school seniors that are looking to further their education. Each year, we provide students with scholarship applications that can be accessed through the high school guidance office. Once applications are completed, they should be submitted back to the guidance office. Once the completed applications have been received, our scholarship committee will select the scholarship winners

Teacher Grants

Each semester, we provide our teachers district-wide with the opportunity to apply for a grant. These grants are provided to teachers who would like to implement projects or programs within the classroom that are not covered within the district's budget. It's our hope that teachers will use these grant opportunities to enrich the education and experiences of their students. Once grant applications have been received, our grant committee will vote and select the winners.

Community Events

Our foundation could not exist without the support of our Dover community. Throughout the year, our foundation holds various fundraisers and outreach events in an effort to raise funds to support the foundation and ultimately. It truly takes a community in order to support the future of our students. We are always looking for volunteers and support to help bring the mission of the foundation alive. If you have any interest in joining the foundation or helping out at an upcoming event, please let us know!
